The JV Mustangs took an early lead and never looked back in a dominate 56 - 37 victory over visiting Owen Valley. Edgewood's trapping defense kept the Patriots off balance and the Mustangs were able to take advantage of their size and strength advantage inside the paint on the way to their the convincing win. Karson Gladhill led Edgewood with 21 points and 8 rebounds, while Zane Powell and Henry Norris scored 8 points each. In addition, Cam Christie and Luke Druckrey had 6 points apiece, Jack Ripley scored 3, and Eli Lirot and Drew Figg had 2 points each to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. In addition to Gladhill's 8, Ripley added 6 rebounds, and Christie had 4 assists to lead those categories for Edgewood. With the win, the JV Mustangs improved to 8 - 1 on the season, and will next play when they host Northview on Friday, January 23.
