Mustangs falter against Northview

Edgewood kept the game close in the first half, trailing by only 4 points at the break, but then things got out of hand in the 3rd quarter on the way to a 64 - 32 loss against visiting Northview. After holding the Knights to 0 of 10 shooting from 3-pt range in the first have, the visitors connected on 6 from long range in the 3rd quarter to blow the game open. Meanwhile, the Mustangs struggled from the field, hitting on only 11 of 40 from 2-point range and 1 of 10 from 3-point range for the game. Caden Jones and Reece Roberts led the limited scoring with 7 points each, while AJ Norris had 6 and Luke Druckrey added 5. Finally, Karson Gladhill scored 3, and Carter Hayden and Zane Powell had 2 points each to complete the scoring for Edgewood. Jones pulled down 5 rebounds, while Hayden, Gladhill, and Evan Jacobs grabbed 4 each, and Jacobs added 2 steals to lead those categories for the Mustangs. Edgewood is back in action on Thursday evening when they host Bloomington North.
