Mustangs lose heartbreaker in first round of Wabash Valley Classic

Edgewood opened play in the Wabash Valley Classic at Terre Haute with a heartbreaking 56 - 55 loss to Northview. After trailing the entire game, the Mustangs finally took the lead with less than a minute remaining in the game. Unfortunately, the Knights were able to respond with a 3-point basket to go back on top and secure the win. Caden Jones led Edgewood with 17 points, while Carl Norris added 13 and Owen McGovern had 9. Finally, Nolan Reynolds scored 7 points, Reece Roberts and Kam Ranard had 4 points each, and Will Inman had 1 to round out the scoring. McGovern led with 5 rebounds, Inman had 3 assists, and Roberts and Reynolds both had 2 steals to lead those categories. The Mustangs are right back at it with an early 10:00 AM start on Friday when they face Cloverdale.
