The Edgewood JV showed no ill effects of their 3-week holiday break with a 69 - 22 thumping of visiting South Putnam. The Mustangs' defense forced 26 turnovers (while committing only 4 themselves) that led to several easy scoring opportunities as they expanded their lead throughout the game. All 10 Edgewood players reached the scoring column, led by Carter Hayden with 13 points, Aiden Bing with 11, Trae Shields with 9, and Dylan Wickens with 8 points. Finally, Jack Ripley scored 7, Eli Lirot and Karson Gladhill had 6 points each, Henry Norris scored 4, Evan Enghauser had 3, and Evan Jacobs had 2 points to complete the scoring for the Mustangs. Jacobs also led Edgewood with 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. The JV Mustangs are back in action on Thursday evening when they travel to Owen Valley to face the rival Patriots.
