With one starter out and another severely limited due to illness, the Edgewood JV still made a valiant effort before falling at Bloomington North in a game that was much closer than the 51 - 39 final score indicated. The Mustangs took a tie game into the locker room at halftime, but a dismal start to the 3rd quarter led to a quick 10-point lead for the Cougars. However, Edgewood refused to quit, battling back to make it a one-possession game midway through the 4th quarter. From there, the Mustangs ran out of gas and the Cougars connected on 9 of 10 free throws and hit two 3-pointers down the stretch to pull away. Dylan Wickens scored 18 points and Henry Norris added 13 to lead the way for Edgewood, while Aiden Bing and Trae Shields both had 4 points to complete the scoring. Evan Enghauser pulled down a team-high 5 rebounds and Shields grabbed 4, while Bing had 3 assists and 2 steals to lead those categories. The Mustangs are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Martinsville.
