Edgewood rally falls short at Orleans

By Chuck Souder | Feb 15, 2025 11:03 PM

A furious late-game rally saw the Mustangs shave a 16 point deficit to 6 with under a minute to play, but ultimately fell short in a 59 - 50 loss at 1A #2 Orleans. A rash of turnovers spelled doom for Edgewood as they coughed up the ball 17 times, several of which led to easy baskets for the Bulldogs. Kam Ranard led the Mustangs with 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Carson Huttenlocker chipped in with 12 points. In addition, Caden Jones scored 7 points, Carl Norris had 5 points to go along with 3 steals, and AJ Norris, Will Inman and Reece Roberts each had 2 points to complete the scoring for Edgewood. The Mustangs have a short turnaround as they travel to Northview on Tuesday evening to face the 3A #12 Knights.
